Self Publishing in Calgary? I think not.

I have a book for sale on Amazon @ https://www.amazon.ca/dp/1999442601 for $11.95. I think this is reasonable, but when Amazon adds their shipping costs, it becomes costly.  In order to save my customers money, I have been looking for a Print On Demand service in Calgary.
I have contacted several companies here for estimates, and have recieved back per copy prices ranging from $16-$29. What!? I cannot sell my little paperback book for those prices.
KDP's price for authors copies including shipping is $6.50/copy.
I recieved one quote that was below this price, but unfortunately, the minimum run I could do is 100 copies. I might be able to sell 100, but at this point I can't pay for them.
Maybe I should go to Staples and investigate building my own books. :)
