New book trailer. I'm looking for royalty free music to put behind it. And how to put the video on this blog.

This is a cardboard sheet

Image
This is a cardboard sheet. This sheet has been through a storm. Before the storm, it stood against the rail, blocking the view from one patio to another. Some people would look at this and claim it’s still a cardboard sheet. Some people would claim the sheet still has the ability to stand against the rail, and block the view. These claims are...true. This cardboard sheet may have to be propped up against the rail. This cardboard sheet may not block the same view it did before the storm. Some people would suggest that the cardboard sheet can be reformed. Yes, we could wet it again, flatten it down, and dry it out again. It would take work, and patience, and time. Would it be as sturdy as it was, as reliable as it was, as efficient as it was, before the storm? You're probably wondering why I care about a cardboard sheet. I don't, except… The storm is a migraine. The cardboard sheet is me.

Skyview book sale

I will be here, in the park across from the Circle K gas station, selling my 8 copies of Sounds of a Cricket. For those buying, I will also include an audio CD of me reading my poems.

Self Publishing in Calgary? I think not.

I have a book for sale on Amazon @  https://www.amazon.ca/dp/1999442601  for $11.95. I think this is reasonable, but when Amazon adds their shipping costs, it becomes costly.  In order to save my customers money, I have been looking for a Print On Demand service in Calgary.   I have contacted several companies here for estimates, and have recieved back per copy prices ranging from $16-$29. What!? I cannot sell my little paperback book for those prices.    KDP's price for authors copies including shipping is $6.50/copy.   I recieved one quote that was below this price, but unfortunately, the minimum run I could do is 100 copies. I might be able to sell 100, but at this point I can't pay for them.   Maybe I should go to Staples and investigate building my own books. :) Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/mjmauthor Blog: https://mjmpublishing.blogspot.com instagram @michael.mathison2
